OUR LIVES ARE MADE IN THESE SMALL HOURS, THESE LITTLE WONDERS, THESE TWISTS & TURNS OF FATE.

So I really don't want to clean.....

..... so I decided to blog:) My list of stuff to do today is way long, but after a morning of running around, coming off of a night of terrible sleep, I am not getting too far:( I decided to do a little "week of our life" in pictures for you. After a week of croup, strep, double ear infections, sinus infections, and now viral pneumonia.... I am a bit tired. The high light of the week was "date night", but I will blog about that later...too many words involved:) Until then, enjoy the pics!

Cohen peeling potatoes:) he loves to peel potatoes, not for sure why, but he always asks to do it. The funny story that goes with this is that Cohen had gone to school half day last Friday with a Migraine and had only wore his uniform 2.5 hours. I made him take his school shirt off to help and when Miayla came out of her room, she goes "why is Cohen like Jacob?" (from twilight), Cohen's response, "Im not like Jacob, I'm not brown yet." It was pretty funny! For my mom who is freaking out bc Cohen has a peeler, don't worry, he was careful.
This is what happens when you ask Cody to put the clothes from the washer into the dryer...

you get kids' in dryers and then lectures about NEVER playing in dryers:)
And then they had a dance party! Cody loves to dance with them and we have dance parties, at least 3 times a week...usually more.
Apparently Cody thinks he is #1....I kind of agree:)

Sawyer again in his favorite spot!

So do you remember the WSU game last Saturday night.... the one that went into TRIPLE OVERTIME???!!! Well, this is how Cody got to watch it! Him and Cohen were on the floor, telling everyone to be quiet when low and behold, Sawyer crashed their party and sat on Cody's head:) I LOVED IT!
He is just so cute, how can you be mad?! Cohen was pretty excited about the whole thing bc initially we told him he could stay up for the end of the game.....an HOUR later the little turkey went to bed!
Sawyer was still sick all week, he is the one with what I thought were two ear infections and then found out earlier this morning that he also has viral pneumonia, and he was CRANKY on Monday....so we did what he loves to do--UNLOAD THE DISHWASHER. I swear he has a little radar on him that lets him know when I am trying to load or unload the dishwasher, because the little fell is ALWAYS there. Out of nowhere, then WHAM, SAWYER! Anyway, usually the process involves a bunch of "nos" and "stops" but this time, I actually did it just for him.

he really only cares about the silverware....

and he was happy!

Cohen has is currently the only one in his class that has never lost a tooth.....NATURALLY. When he was 23 months old, he slipped at the pool and shattered his front tooth and they had to extract it. I was 8 months pregnant, Cohen cried, Cody cried... it was tragic. He does currently have a loose tooth and a tooth that is coming in behind it. It is really loose. REALLY. So Cody decided to pull it.....

......Except he didn't! A little tug too hard and Cohen started crying and then Cody started to cry and then I was reminded of the first tooth all over again. And what do you know? I am pregnant again! haha.

SO since we weren't getting rid of any teeth, we decided to clean the ones we had. They usually all fight over the sink, but for some reason this night, there was party there. Cody decided to capture it:)

This is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth.....

and yes, I hold Sawyer's head like that...he likes to move.... a lot

And what would a week be without a Princess dancing?? Miayla got new legwarmers and a new dance bag...she was so excited. And I was so happy that the weather was decent enough for her to wear them:)
She thinks she is Strawberry Shortcake:)
She wanted me to take a picture of her new bag and the "sparkles" on the back of the warmers:)

Sawyer's Obsession

Sawyer, as we all know, is an incredibly laid back little fella. He loves life and he is quite intrigued by many things. If you are family or have been around him at dinner time, you know what I am talking about. The kid is OBSESSED with chairs and tables. He LOVES to climb under them, stand on them, crawl through them, anything! Initially relatives freaked out when they saw him underneath the table, "he'll hit his head, watch him..." then they caught on. He knows EXACTLY what he is doing and he loves doing it. Now if anyone sees him under there, it's as if, well, he isn't even there. Every night after he is done eating, I take him out of his chair and he crawls under the table while the rest of us finish our meal. (Yes, this is probably also why he throws food off his tray and onto the floor). He does get stuck every now and again, but for the most part if you can't find him, look under Cohen's bar stool, or under the table and you will 99% of the time find him. (the other one percent he is putting jiffy mix in the shower;). Here are some pics of him caught in the act. I have TONS more, (the kid does it all day) but I thought I would share just a few. A few of his other obsessions: He also LOVES getting into our gum drawer and carrying around packs of gum, and taking them out of the wrappers. And he loves his magna doodle (only the one with the Christmas design though;), and he loves getting into my cake drawer and carrying around things that I use for cakes. So in conclusion, it turns out he is also a little ornery as well and as I continue to write, I am realizing that he may not be that Sweet baby Sawyer after all...hmmm. Oh well, he is so cute, so it is hard to stay mad:) Enjoy

His favorite place-under Cohen's bar stool! He will only sit under this one:)

He is currently trying to get the paper out from under his bum so he can color!

Cohen doesn't even notice he is there half the time anymore:)

working on his magna doodle...his other favorite obsession.
He is carrying around a pack of gum...trying to hide. Unfortunately for him, I know where to look.

Notice the magna doodle again:) and he also stole Miayla's Strawberry Shortcake remote control car....again.

I LOVE this picture because he has puppies on his shirt and he looks like a puppy here with the stuff in his mouth. That is a thing of gum in his mouth and a pack of fondant in his hand:) He likes to straddle the bar under the table or put snacks on there and hang out.

This is how he gets out from under the bar stool. He has my pastry brush with him:)
Again with the pastry brush:) Look at those teethers!!
So he thinks my pastry brush is an actual brush:) This is also a good time to clarify that I do not use this brush on my cake stuff....or my hair for that matter:)

Under the table with the brush and Miayla's headband.... yes, I know when Cody sees this he is going to wonder why his young man has a cake brush and a headband, but hey, it is what it is. I prefer the term domesticated:)
Something in that book must of been funny. Pretty sure we read it about 17 times a day and no, nothing in that book is funny. lol
So handsome! ....again with his magna doodle and Miayla's strawberry shortcake car.
LOVE HIM!

The day Hell froze over

So, I had a most interesting experience today in the place I least expected it....ever.... WALMART! Really there are two back stories to this story, so I will first begin with those.

1. If you knew me at all, lets say 7 1/2 years ago... I was skinny. Tiny. I wore a size 0, 2 on my "big" days. My boobs were decent, but more importantly in the position they were supposed to be in, pointing the direction they should of. I was in shape. I had nice abs, thin thighs, and overall was proud of my body. Some people thought I had an eating disorder, but if you really knew me, you knew that was impossible. I LOVE FOOD, and I HATE THROWING UP!! I would work out occasionally but was not a freak about it. I think most of my exercise came from walking Cody to class.... opposite of the direction of my car:) Love is blind. Anyway, point being, I was tiny. Well, about 6 1/2 years ago, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Cohen. My body however, was blessed with 40 pounds, stretch marks (which I prefer to refer to as pride marks), and well gravity...you know where the "girls" pointed now. Three more kiddos later, you can imagine how great of shape my body is currently in. Or I guess more appropriately not in. So now I go to the Y. And I try. But you know who makes it real hard to try?? Yep, the little perky blonde, with the tiny ass, big boobs, not a hair out of place, impeccable make-up, and such cute sporty attire. And to top it off, the girl can run. Her form is beautiful and the precision she uses in her regime is flawless. As my luck would have it, she usually runs on the treadmill in front of me. So the entire time, i get to think about how perfect her life is. My guess is she throws a nice Christmas party, gets to go to a nice brunch every Sunday, probably has an extensive Victoria Secret collection, and probably leads a fairly relaxed life style. Confirmation came about two summers ago when I would see her at Tot time at the pool. Yes, beautiful girl has two beautiful boys. She must of been blessed with the "get away from gravity FREE" card, because at tot time, she wears a tiny pink bikini. I tell myself I wouldn't wear one of those even if I could because one scared toddler reaction, and everyone would get a show. Her kids don't misbehave though, so this doesn't apply. Anyway, point being, girl's borderline perfect. At least from what I can observe from a non-stalkerish point of view:)

Back story #2. I HATE WALMART!! With the passion of a thousand suns, I hate WALMART. If it wasn't so cheap, I would not shop there. In my perfect world, Wal-mart would not exist. I often say I am going to "Hell" when I refer to walmart. Cody will call me while I am there and I tell him that "I'm in Hell". I am sure the two are very similar. I go though because we need groceries. A lot of them. I can count on one hand the amount of times my family eats out in a month. I cook...all the time. But I still hate that place. I know it like the back of my hand, but I hate that place. I go on Wednesdays usually while the kids are at school and Kids day out. Because the only thing I hate more than walmart, is taking kids to walmart. Now I can begin my story.

Today, I went to check out at walmart (Thank you Baby Jesus, it is just about over), and guess who I saw???? Yep, you guessed it, beautiful girl. She checked out across from me. Of course, she looked great in her "just got done at the gym, with impeccable make-up, not a hair out of place" sporty attire. BUT the next thing I noticed left me doing a double-take. Then I just plain stared. Beautiful girl had pizza rolls, TV dinners (the kids kind too;), spagettios, boxed meals, chips, snacks!!! Who would of thought?Sugared cereal!! I always thought she had a personal chef, or lived solely off of salad. I know I was way too excited about it, but wouldn't you be? I mean I try not to judge people and the girl is sweet, but do you know what that sight did for me? She is human, she eats like other people (we do not own a single pizza roll, or tv dinner, or spagettios) but point being she helped me remember that we are all on our own little journey. Some may have prettier, pointier, bodies, but in the end, we all do have our own little imperfections. (Granted she did still have a lot of V8 and vitamin water and healthy food too though). So next time I see her running at her super face pace, thinking how perfect her life is, I will remind myself that I was one up on her.... I at least tried to save the world using my re-usable cloth bags:)

Also, this is WAY off subject, but I had to share because it was also so odd. I went to get in the show this morning and I noticed something. Cody gets up and showers and gets the kiddos ready for school, so this particular morning, I did not get in the shower/ out of bed until 9:45ish:) Anyway, I am getting in the shower and I notice this....
Yes, you are right, that is a box of Jiffy cornbread mix. It had gotten wet and expanded too;/. I am not for sure how Cody missed it... this picture was taken exactly how it was found. He really does not recall seeing it, let alone stepping over it. I remember Sawyer carrying it around yesterday, and now that I think about it, I don't remember picking it back up... guess I know where he put it:) Love that little boy!

Sweet Baby Sawyer--A week in the life

From the moment I knew Sawyer was alive inside of me, I knew that he would have a greater purpose in life than I would ever know. I didn't know how, or when, or where he would serve this greater purpose, just that he would bless others and myself immensely. Little did I know that it would start while still next to my heart. He helped me get through a tough patch in my life journey, one that only I will ever remember, but knowing he was there, made a world of difference. After he was born, the blessings just kept coming. His birth was amazing, the day of his Baptism peaceful, and everyday since cherished. He is so adored, so loved, and so a combination of his older brother Cohen and sister Miayla. He is a spitting image of Cohen through life and he has a bit (small, minute, smidgen) of Miayla's sass, which is just enough to make him a little spunky. He has the most relaxed disposition (i say it reminds me of someone after an adult beverage--the edge is a little off and things just flow a bit better) and he is such a good baby. Everyone always asks, "is he this good all the time?" And for 98% of the time excluding Mass time, the answer is yes:) He eats, sleeps, plays, and laughs. It is so amazing the things he catches on to. You would think the third kiddo, it would all be typical stuff, but I am so shocked at how he reacts to life. I will hold him in the middle of the night, just to cuddle, and think, "how can i love this little person soooooooooooo much?" You think I would be out of love by now, but nope. Really blogging about this is even hard because there are no words to describe the love for him. If you are a mother, you know the feeling. I am excited to see him continue to grow. No matter what though, he will always be my sweet baby sawyer:) Here are some pics of him through out a week. Sidenotes: He has over 15 pairs of footed pjs (I kid you not), he is always in them, he slides across the on his belly and I hate him ruining his nicer clothes and with concrete floors, the grippers are a godsend.

Hi momma!
Look, I learned how to color!

I'm such a big boy!!

I'm cute, single, a great cuddler, and I enjoy chasing Zhu Zhu pets daily.

I also like driving Strawberry Shortcake around in her RC car. Although, I will admit I try to eat her sometimes too. Not my fault, she smells sooooo good.

Sometimes the car becomes a flying car.... OR Miayla has realized I have her toy and is chasing me to get it back. Always, gotta be on my toes:)

I like headbands and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I put it on all by myself and walk around with it. I look great in all colors too.

See! It stays on my head because I have a nice shaped head, at least that is what mom tells me. I also like carrying around the bottle brush to mom's cake stuff:) Pretty much anything I am not supposed to have, I LOVE!

I try to be like Cohen every chance I get, he is a sweetie and has so much patience with me.

Look we are twins!

Even when I play with my own toys, they still follow me. What can i say? Everyone loves a man with his own set of wheels!
I'm practicing being a big brother by helping Miayla give her babies a stroller ride. I also snatched their bottles! Victory is mine!

Baby It's Cold Outside

We finally got snow!! Well technically we got snow last week, but I am a little behind on blogging, so we will act as though it is still fresh on the ground:) Cody is trying to sell a snowmobile for his dad, so while it is up at our shop in Kechi, we figured why not drive it around. The kiddos loved it. Cody swore he took a ton of pictures, but oddly, there is only one on the camera. Hmmm, weird. Anyway, the rest of the snow days consisted of making snow forts with neighbors, having hot homemade apple cider with warm chocolate chip cookies, and more playing. Unfortunately, Cody had to go to sunny Naples, Florida for work last week, so we only enjoyed the snowmobile for a short time on Monday. It was way too cold for the kiddos to be out on their actual snow day (Tuesday) and Wednesday anyway, so it all worked out ok. I am so amazed at how resilient they are to the cold. Granted they looked like gumdrops by the time I actually let them waddle out of the house with profuse layers on, but still, it is cold out there. Guess that is why sweet baby Sawyer and I stayed snuggled up inside:)

The princess ready to play

Cowboy about to get pulled on the sled behind the snowmobile. Then proof that he made it out alright:)

Building an awesome snow fort! Cohen was super creative and took an empty trashcan out to assist in making the snow fort bigger, quicker. Not bad thinking for being the youngest of "the boys"!

LOVE HIM!!!

Miayla relaxing on the hill with the girls!

Cohen working hard to make the fort better:)
There are no pictures of the snack break because I was sleeping and Cody did the hot cider and cookies all by himself. He forgets we document things like that, but i really can't complain because again, I was NAPPING, and he did it all by himself:)
