June-Father's Day
Cody got the royal treatment yet again for Father's Day. The kiddos and I made banana bread the night before, Cohen, hand-stirred the chocolate milk, Miayla assisted in the parfai making, and Cohen topped it off with a flower from our garden:)

Looks Yummy:)
And b/c Cody thinks he is a King, we wrapped his gift in a Princess bag:)
HAHAHA! this is only on here b/c I have the power to put it on here and he can't do anything about it:)

June- Stephanie's Wedding
On June 13th, 2009, my Naes (cousin-Stephanie Bluml), got HITCHED!!! It was such a fun wedding week ranging from the Bridal Photo session, Rehearsel Dinner, hair, make-up, wedding, and Sunday Brunch. TONS OF PICTURES were taken, but I only blogged about a few. It was a GREAT day and I am so proud that we got to be a part of it. Cheers to Mark and Stephanie Scriven.

What are friends for? Helping you get into your wedding dress and not caring if they hurt you b/c they know you'll appreciate it when your dress doesn't fall down mid-ceremony:)

Nae is spoiled....really spoiled, all the time. This is like her umteenth designer handbag from Mark--he thought this Coach one would go great as a travel bag to Hawaii:)

and incase she needs to splash in style, little Coach rainboots:)

and if she gets a chill while she is splashing, she can come inside and get any one of her 9 cardigan sweaters in assorted colors.

T (my baby Bro) was an extraordinary Usher at the event. Love him sooooooooo much. Except when we go out in public and I can't walk by him b/c the "ladies" might get the wrong idea. hahaha

The happy couple, Mark and Nae
They both love me...a lot!

She went into the store to get one black sweater. She fell in love with all of them but Mark said no...only to realize that "no" is no longer an option. He went back and bought her the rest of the 8 colors...so sweet.

Steph's "something borrowed" was my rosary bracelet from Notre Dame--it was wrapped around her bouquet.

We all changed after the ceremony into red Chuck-T's...really it was just another excuse to buy yet another pair of shoes:)

May-Lesson's Learned
May was also filled with many lessons learned. Some were hard and some were FUN:) Cohen learned to ride his bike with no training wheels. He all of a sudden at supper one night asked Cody to take them off and teach him how. You will see in the picture that once Cody said OK, there was no time to do anything but just that.

This is Cohen getting the "once these come off, they are staying off lecture." I can't wait for that lecture with his princess:)

They are getting started...probably should of done it on a night other than the night before Trash pick up..opps

We got this.

We got this.
HE IS DOING IT!!!
Cohen had to switch to a smaller bike b/c he couldn't reach the ground. He has since switched back to his big boy bike.

action shot

He was so excited and rode his bike for like three hours the following morning:) He never had a crash and picked the whole process up in about 10 minutes:) Lesson Learned.

Another father/son bonding experience-Gardening.
Here is where a harder lesson was learned and by yep you guessed it, Miayla. One night she decided she didn't want to eat supper. She sat with her arms crossed at the table while we all enjoyed what I am sure was a delicious meal prepared by me. We assured her that she would not only not get dessert, but no snacks either. Little Miss Stubborn said "Fine, I no want any!" and excused herself from the table. The next morning she sure made up for it....and has ate her food every night since:)

This is the parfait I make for Cody every morning. It has yogurt, flaxseed, and strawberries. Mia has to be like her daddy, so she usually gets one too.
We are going to have an apple too. Mia LOVES fruit. She could eat a pound of strawberries if you let her. She eats at least one apple a day too. (We are trying to talk our gardners into planting strawberries and an apple tree).

The only thing she loves more than fruit is BACON! It can be disturbing if you don't know her and her love for bacon and witness her eating it. Not gonna lie, I pray she doesn't order it on a first date. But she loves bacon and could eat a pound of it if you let her...but I won't b/c I do care about her arteries. She had a couple pieces of that too.....
And here we are. No parfait left, no bacon, and not much of her apple. Lesson learned.

You should remember the plant story from back in March when they were all started, and as you can see, they are still alive in May:) The lesson learned here is that Patience is really a virtue and that it is a good thing we are able to go to the grocery store! Lesson Learned.

May Update #1-Pat green
Not too much happening at the beginning of May. Just finishing off the Pre-k year and RIVERFEST! I am not a huge fan of the crowds and all the kids that run around unattended, and the tweens that are barely dressed and all over each other, BUT I DO LOVE THE FOOD COURT:) I wanted food court tickets for Mother's Day, but Cody got me a nice camera instead. Really I would of been ecstatic to have the tickets though. The BEST is the Indian Taco:)

Cody and I LOVE PAT GREEN! We went to an acoustic night with him before Miayla was born and have been avid fans ever since. He had a concert on Country night so Cody went early to scope out good seats:)

Pat singing...to me....most likely:)

We even got to meet some of the Eli Young band, here we are with Mike:)
May Update #2
The Kiddos made their big Wedding Debut at Luke and Jessie's Wedding at the end of May:) They love Luke and Jessie and we were very honored that they wanted the kids in their wedding. There was so much excitement and anticipation leading up to it. Cohen told ppl he was going to "pass out rings to everyone." We had to explain that he only passes the rings to Luke! And Miayla was going to "throw flowers" at people. (She even followed the comment by an overhand throwing movement:) Whatever they initially thought, was not done. They did spectacular and I am so glad they did it together. They are best friends and always try to help the other one do something if they are too scared to do it by themself. So having them do this side by side was really neat:)

The best buds after the wedding going on a walk together. I love this picture.

Miayla getting her haid did:) She was way to excited about this.

With Sara, the stylist who was another victim of Miayla's sweetness.

All dolled up:)

The wedding party:)

Miayla kind of freaked out before the walk b/c she wanted her "celebratory candy" NOW! So we put her skittles at the bottom of her flower basket and told her that when her petals were gone, she got her candy. She got a little carried away in getting all the petals out and some skittles made it on the aisle. Whoops. At least they were pastel colors:)
they were going too fast for me:) a true action shot!

April Update
Well our Biggest news for April was on Monday April 6th, Cody and I found out that we were expecting our 3rd baby:) We were/are so excited about adding to the family and we could not believe that we are going to be a family of 5 at the ages of 26:) Kind of a shocker when you put it like that, but we wanted kiddos young and close together so we are on the right track or as Cody says the accelerated program:) We sound like overachievers than:) Either way, April was a memorable month and here are some of the other happenings that month:
Cohen wanted to go to the Monster truck races and Cody had to work on the rental and it wasn't exactly Miayla's and my cup of tea so we recruited Uella and Papa to take him. He had the BEST time and I am so glad and grateful that mom took lots of pictures (these are 5 of the 30+) :)

Cody and I decided to do a half marathon together. It was called the "Labor of Love" race and we thought it was appropriate for two ppl in love:) It was more so my idea, and the only way I knew cody would do it if it was in an ideal location, so we went to VEGAS! However, the pregnancy kind of set me behind on training and nausea so I was only able to do the 6 miler, but Cody did his first half marathon. It was great to watch him train for it and to cross the finish line. AND it SNOWED during the race. YES, in the desert, we thought it would be nice and warm. No! It was cold and super windy, but we survived...another labor of love:)

The one to the left is a picture of the hill we climed during the race, it was taken from the car on the way there when we both were like, we should of just taken a vacation together and left any endurance events back home. The one of Cody and I is before the race started hanging out in a truck to get out of the wind. It was SO COLD!!
