Candy Comparison

Cohen and Miayla both had school Halloween parties on the same day....I caught them as they were sitting on the couch comparing everything. They were so cute and so excited . I was truly touched with how sweet they were to each other. If Miayla got something she knew Cohen liked, she would give it to him and vice versa. They were all about sharing and making the other happy. Such sweeties:)

Army men...

So one night I was cleaning up the house and noticied an army man on the table....The kids were asleep so I couldn't tell Cohen to pick them up. Then I noticed one on the counter.....and I remembered earlier in the night Cohen snickering to himself while he was in the living room...when I asked what he was doing he said "nothing" laughing. I soon realized what he was doing and Cody and I began searching for Army men. The next morning at breakfast we asked him about his army men and he was like "I don't know what you are talking about."--laughing again. He is so much fun!

Pumpkin Carving 2009

So with visiting lots of pumpkin patches this year, we had many pumpkin options to choose from when it came to carving. We invited my family over to carve and Ricarda and mom joined us....Tony came for apple cresents but then left:) When the kids "carve" it is more so Cody carving and them sitting there critiquing it. Cohen decided he wanted to carve a spider and a spider web and Miayla painted her's an assortment of colors. It was a fun, fall evening.

Setheul got hitched--and Cody danced

One of Cody's best friends got married in Pittsburg, KS in October. Cody was honored to be a groomsman for Seth and Kylie on their special day. The weekend was a lot of fun and a nice little getaway for us. I think what made it so great was that Cody was surrounded by his friends, the ones that have known him the longest, and his true colors really showed...apparently he loves to DANCE:)

Cody and Traci walking down the aisle..

what a hottie:)

Yay for Kylie and Seth

Kylie's dress was amazing and she looked gorgeous. She was such a beautiful and gracious bride!!!

And the dancing begins.....

and continues...... (I'll spare you all the pictures, including him leading the conga line and the "train")

He even sauntered towards me carrying a rose in his mouth...don't know whose bouquet he got it from....but I left with a rose:)

Dance update

So I really just think that Miayla is too adorable in her dance outfit and I can't take enough pictures of her, so I thought I would blog about some of them:) Everyday she still wakes up and asks if she can go to dance...even though she knows that she only has it on Mondays. Her teacher said she never misses a beat and really is a shining star. She has her first "recital" December 5th. She practices all the time and just ask mom or anyone else who dares ask her about dancing, she will show you her moves. "you go like this..." :)

Cohen's first Chiefs game!!!!

I am a HUGE football fan and have been since I was very little. I grew up watching the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Kansas City Chiefs on my daddy's lap. My family has had season tickets to the Chiefs since I was 5 years old (so twenty years now). Many a trips have been made to KC for game day, and a TON of memories made. Although we have had tickets since Cohen was born, Cody and I decided not to take him to any games until he was five, same age as my first game. He would lose interest after halftime or be like me when I was little and think I needed food the entire time to keep myself occupied....although I still do that:). Anyway, on October 11th, Cohen got to go to his first Chief's game. It was really important to me that he did get to go to one when he was five and that it wasn't too late in the season b/c of cold weather (HA) and around the time the baby was due. I also wanted to make sure my dad could be there b/c going to games was kind of our thing. I learned to drive by going down the turnpike at abnormally high speeds with all the other crazy fans that "had to get a good spot". When I think of the Chiefs, I think of my dad and the fun I had with him. Anyway, they played the Dallas Cowboys and man was it chilly out!!!! I had a hard time getting him to understand that we like cowboys, just not these Cowboys. It was a great time and what made it even better was that mom and dad and "nony" were there to share in the excitement. I think we all watched Cohen's reaction to everything more than we watched the game. Cohen had a blast and felt like a "big" boy with all the adults. And just to prove he was like me, he would not leave until he got a snack at the stadium....he chose a SNOWCONE!!! What a great memory with our little man!

Me at my FIRST chiefs game--blame my mom for my attire--I am mortified by it:) Cohen wore this same Derrick Thomas jersey though!! DT will never go out of style.

Cutest little fan there!!

My boys--LOVE THEM!

Three generations of Chief's fans

He was obsessed with the foam finger and even took it to show and tell that week. He was really into screaming and booing and doing the tomahawk chop as well:)

Applejack's Pumpkin Patch-Cohen's field trip

Cohen's kindergarten class took a field trip to the Applejack's pumpkin patch. I was fortunate enough to be a driver, so I got to capture some of the fun. Best part of the day: when Cohen picked a little pumpkin for his sister instead of getting a pumpkin for himself:) SUCH a sweetie!!!

His class, they didn't have to wear uniforms today:)

He made it to the top!!
