July- BIRTHDAY FIESTA!!!

On July 25th, we had the kiddos birthday party...yes they have joint parties:) We went with a "water party" b/c Cohen has wanted one since he was 2, it just never worked out with us living in a town home, then not having a yard once we moved in here (wasn't going to have a mud party:) ). Well this year it worked out, so we went for it. The first party was during the day and consisted of friends. There were school friends, neighbors, and family friends. We played outside....got RAINED ON....ate pizza and cupcakes...opened presents...played outside again...and got Rained on again. I think a part of me was dillusional the day we did invites for this....we invited everyone Cohen loves...everyone! Everyone seemed to have a great time though and all I can say is I LOVE CONCRETE floors....everything was so easy to clean!

The second party that evening and it was family, and those that we consider family:) We had everyone over and had a big mexican fiesta! In all I think both parties were a success and we went through 500+ water balloons!!!!

The octopus cake I made:)

The kiddos cupcakes...Mia helped decorate them while the boys camped.

what was I thinking???? Thank GOD for well behaved kiddos!

July- Creature Camp Out at the Zoo

On July 24th, Cody and Cohen camped out at the Sedgwick County ZOO. They got to sleep in the new tiger exhibit and learn all sorts of fun things. They started with dinner, then some educational lessons, a flashlight tour, midnight snack (at 10pm), "sleeping with the Tigers, breakfast with the animals, and a tram tour. Cody and Cohen were both sooo excited. Miayla and I stayed home and baked and prepared for the kiddos birthday fiesta the following day. Here are a few of the pictures from the experience....I think Cody took 50+ :)

July- Birthday Zoo trip with Bomber

Cohen and my cousin Chris share the same birthday only 22 years apart:) Chris invited Cohen and Miayla to the Zoo with him for his birthday....I think he didn't want to be a single 27 yr old at the zoo by himself;) No, he LOVES the kiddos and they love him. He has lots of patience with them and they think he is a lot of fun:)On a side note, we went the day they had the bi-annual animal escape drill...we were on lock down for 25 minutes in the Barn....this is location is what prompted Cohen to pick Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner later that night. hahahaha

So happy!

My how they have grown!!!

July- MIAYLA'S First Haircut

Outside of a little bang trimmage when she was very wittle, Miayla has not had an actual haircut. We were growing it out and she doesn't sit still. Once she turned three though, it was time. Taryn, a family friend, cut it for her (she also cut Cohen's when it was time to get his first official haircut). Mia was so excited....imagine that!

Taryn even curled it for her b/c she knows Miayla loves playing beauty shop. Yay.

July- Cohen is 5!!!!

My little man had his big birthday on July 22nd!!! He is now five and ready for the world. We went ot the zoo with his birthday buddy, my cousin, Chris. Then, he wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner so we did...they have his favorite bread. Afterwards, we went by Tractor Supply and he got some John Deere things, then home for dessert with Uella, Papa, and Nony. Before he said his prayers , he informed me that it was the "best birthday day ever." Yay

what a great sport and future rider.

July- Miayla turns 3!!!

Baby girl turned 3 on July 16th!!!! The day started out a little rough when she puched Cohen and said "its ok, its my birfday.".....she got better though:) The kiddos both received cards in the mail from Luke and Jessie and were ecstatic! Uella, Papa, and Nony all came over for dessert. They were very festive and brought lots of presents. Miayla loved her day and I cannot believe she is already 3!
